Christmas 2012

Hello world,

I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and those who do not celebrate a great holiday:)

Here is an amazing gift I found under the tree today. It is a camouflaged coffee mug. I just hope I don't mix them up!

Till later world,
And all the best.

Flying Essentials

Hello world,

Today I will go over the few essentials that I feel are must-haves when flying, whether on short or long flights.

  1. Hand cream & lip balm
  2. Bottle of water - but do make sure you buy it after security, as the liquid regulations don't allow you to bring more than 100ml bottles through.
  3. Headphones - preferably ones that block out as much noise as possible. There are crying babies on the plane, engines roar and sometimes you get people who either snore like elephants or like to let the whole world know about what they are saying, talking at the top of their lungs.
  4. Hand sanitizer - now this one is optional, but I seeing as you will be on the airport, a place where germs from all over the world meet and feast, it is not a bad idea to have one with you.
  5. Tissues - there is something about the dry and often cold air in the planes.
  6. A comfortable and warm sweater/shawl - I found that it often gets very cold on the long-haul flights.
  7. Anything to help you pass the time!

I think that pretty much covers the essential things to bring with you when flying. Just remember that all liquids have to be in a transparent bag and the packaging cannot exceed 100ml!

If you are flying for more than five hours, you might also like to bring some face soap, facial cream and a toothbrush and toothpaste to refresh yourself through the journey.

Have a safe journey everyone!

Rainbows - the one good thing about London rain

Hello world,

Staying in the theme of London's weather, today we look at the colourful effect called: a rainbow.

London's Mood Swings

Hello world,

Today's post views London through the camera in an iPhone 4s.

London is well known for being rainy, but it is too simplistic to view it like this. This city lives, breathes and has its own moods. Moods which are hardly ever predictable and for which we must always be prepared. Here are but a few of London's moods:

Hell world,

Today I wish to share with you a link from a great site, "Digital Photography School". Martin Gommel writes about the many (100!) things he has learned in photography since beginning his journey. Enjoy!

I especially like number 7, "Write tips about photography, because writing is also learning" and 45 "Start a photoblog" :)

London Calling

Hello world,

Today I travel back to London, the city of fried fish, great architecture and of course pubs. My dear cat companion Willow is ready to go, as are my cameras. What new adventures await me there? Only time will tell. For now, enjoy.

Toruń - colours of the past

Hello world,

Today a post full of photos. Photos from the wonderful city of Copernicus, Torun.

The Old Town:

The colourful streets:

"The end is coming"

The "Falling Tower":

 The house of Nicolaus Copernicus:

Teutonic Castle

"Walk towards the light"

My three monkeys, also known as 'mama', 'papa', and 'sis' :)

The "New Town":

In effect, this town part of Torun is still very old, but it was just built a couple of years after the "old town", hence the name.

A city of the old, cracking, but surviving buildings. The red city of Poland, Torun.
